SHAWNEE CITY COUNCIL MEETING

September 8, 2025

Tonight’s meeting was VERY brief, with little discussion on any agenda item. One member of the public, Francis Pfeiffer, spoke representing his neighborhood, City View Farms, requesting the neighborhood's private pond be maintained as city property instead of private. They don't want to have an HOA to pay for it, feeling the city should pay for the pond instead since stormwater runs into it.

Additionally, the Council considered the following:

• Passed consent agenda (unanimous)

• Approved the 2025 Uniform Public Offense Code (unanimous)

• Reviewed bids and approved the purchase of a semi-custom fire apparatus to be delivered in about 32 months (unanimous)

• Approved IRB bonds for Heartland Logistics Park Building III project (unanimous)

• Approved IRB bonds for OV Shawnee project (unanimous)

• Ratified semimonthly claims (unanimous)

There was no Council Committee meeting tonight.
