Building a Shawnee for the Future

The city of Shawnee has done a good job with past city councils of soliciting input from residents and people who work, play and shop in Shawnee. The current blueprint for the city staff and City Council is Achieve Shawnee Comprehensive Plan, approved by the council in October of 2021. This plan is set to guide development and renewal for the next 10-20 years. 

The 2021 Achieve Shawnee Comprehensive Plan was built on Imagine Shawnee, the vision for the future informed by key stakeholders and residents like you. It is in use today in the City Council agendas, where all projects tie back to the Imagine Shawnee vision.
